Legal Communications Technologist
Summary of Position
The Impact Fund seeks a Legal Communications Technologist who is passionate about social impact work and is committed to using their skills to support tech for good. As the Legal Communications Technologist, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of communications related to the upcoming launch of an online software tool related to class actions and other organization-level communications needs. This includes developing and executing product launch strategies, creating messaging for new features, and producing content for software tool launch and sales. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Legal Technology Product Manager to increase engagement with the online software tool.
The position is full-time and reports to the Product Manager. The position will be open for an initial one-year term, with a potential extension based on funding and need. We encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds and experience levels to apply.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Legal Communications Technologist include but are not limited to:
1. Product & Feature Launch Strategy
a. Helping create launch strategies
b. Developing messaging for software tool and new features
c. Creating content (written/audio/images/video/events) for software tool launch and sales
d. Planning and coordinating rollout campaigns
2. Communications
a. Managing follow up on news releases for product and organization generally
b. Creating, managing, and updating a product blog and knowledge repositories
c. Website maintenance and updates for both tool and organization generally to ensure accuracy, currency, and consistency.
3. Additional Support
a. Providing user support post launch
b. Relationship Management (media & users)
c. Recommending online tool improvements
d. Managing and analyzing survey and data collection efforts
e. Assisting in general media outreach to increase organization brand recognition to include audit and development of media list.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Strong passion for social impact
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
2+ years of experience in one of the following: product marketing, product development, communications, content creation, copywriting, content distribution.
Preferred Experience
Experience managing media campaigns.
Experience with web design/management
Experience with videography
Experience with data-driven decision making and user-centric insights
Experience organizing events, webinars, and campaigns
Strong project management and collaboration skills

10 days of paid vacation per year (increases after first year), 10 days of paid sick leave per year, and 13-14 paid holidays per year.
Full-time salary ranging from $70,000 to $78,000, based on experience.
