Annual Report 2006-2006 (fiscal
year)
On the front lines in
the battle for social justice, the lack of time
and
resources make it difficult for nonprofit and private
firms to engage in strategic
thinking or tap into the ideas of experts that
could aid their work. This is where
The Impact Fund steps in. Our national conferences
on class action employment
discrimination litigation over the last five years
have helped to focus litigation
strategies for maximum effect, and to create a
stronger sense of community
among litigators. They are proof that such a strategy
works while nourishing
the next public interest class action generation.
This year, we will expand our
outreach efforts to legal services and civil rights
groups in other areas of the law
by convening roundtables of multi-disciplinary
experts to determine the most
effective strategies for social justice.
