We are pleased to announce that the Discrimination Research Center ( DRC ) staff and major projects will be relocating to the Thelton E. Henderson Center for Social Justice (HCSJ) at the University of California 's Boalt Hall Law School . DRC , a program of The Impact Fund for the last nine years, has conducted ground-breaking social science research examining the extent and nature of discrimination in employment, public contracting, and access to public services. A strategic planning process at The Impact Fund determined that the work of DRC could best be performed separately, as The Impact Fund focuses on public interest litigation. Earlier this year, the transition began when DRC 's director, Monique W. Morris, joined the HCSJ. Effective July 1, 2007 , the transition will be completed, with the remaining DRC staff also joining HCSJ. At that time, HCSJ will take over the current research projects of DRC and DRC will cease operations as a program of The Impact Fund. The Impact Fund is proud of the ground-breaking work of DRC , and is delighted that its legacy will be continued at HCSJ, which is uniquely situated to continue the social justice social science research championed by DRC . For questions about the continuation of DRC's work at HCSJ, please contact Monique Morris at mmorris@law.berkeley.edu or 510-643-0121.
